Escalators and Elevators
Escalators and elevators are often sources of structure borne sound to adjacent spaces.
Vibratec has a range of vibration isolation and decoupling solutions that minimise the levels of noise and vibrations transmitted to the building.
Special care need to be taken when dimensioning the vibration isolation of lift machinery as the influencing forces will have a great variation between the different support points. Also the elevator suspension plate, the cabin and the guiding rails often need vibration isolation.
Escalators and conveyor belts are often elastically suspended with all metal elastic elements and vibrations in steel plates dampened with visco elastic damping paint.
